The AMN’s mission is to identify business development, R&D, and cost savings strategies for the manufacturing members.
AMN Strategies
- Visit large OEMs and meet with supply chain officials.
- Match regional employers with prime contractors doing business with the federal government.
- Monitor State and Federal R&D investment opportunities, grants and tax credits.
- Develop revenue strategies that save operational costs.
- Partner with the Pittsburgh Technology Council to increase opportunities for manufacturers in northwest Pennsylvania.
AMN Results
The Network has facilitated visits to Caterpillar, Lincoln Electric and other OEMS. AMN has successfully partnered with the Pittsburgh Technology Council on an International Business Mission to China. In 2010, the Council launched a collaborative to purchase electric at a discounted rate and offer free reviews of a manufacturers’ Sales & Use Tax payments.
